ABOUT ME

Stanley Sievers is a writer, director, and actor currently in Brooklyn, NY.

He has written/directed a bunch of short that have screened at festivals across the country. He also directed a project for Funny or Die called the Aryan 2 Sleep Machine (ARYAN2.COM). Some of these projects earned him awards/nominations including “Best Director” at Austin Comedy Film Festival and “Best Editing” at Atlanta Comedy Film Festival. Some did not.

He co-starred in and co-produced the independent pilot, Rap Skool, which was an official selection of New York Television Festival 2017, a top ten finalist for Just For Laughs Eat My Shorts Competition, and an official selection of Chicago Comedy Film Festival.

Currently, he writes and performs solo sketch comedy and characters at whatever venues will let him do his thing. His solo show, People I Hope Aren't Real, went up at iO Chicago. You can see some select clips of that on this site.

Previously, he performed at iO on the Harold team Cadaver, at Annoyance with Everyone's a Critic, and with independent improv teams Strawberry and The Blue Angels.

After high school, he co-founded and toured in the hardcore punk band, Dead Icons, from 2008-2013. They signed to Bullet Tooth Records and released an album called “Condemned” which is available on Spotify, iTunes, and probably some other places too. If you listen to it, he might make .25 cents eventually. During this time, they were featured in Hails & Horns, Alternative Press, and Lambgoat. They toured all over the US, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico with bands like Counterparts, Harm’s Way, Foundation, and others.

Stanley is originally from Lexington, KY and loves it there.
